1. Introduction

At TidyStreams ("we," "our," or "us"), we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services.

Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of our services immediately.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information (name, email, password)
  • Profile information
  • Payment details (processed securely by Stripe)
  • Communication data (support tickets, feedback)

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

We automatically collect certain information when you visit our website:

  • Device information (browser type, operating system)
  • IP address and location data
  • Usage data (pages visited, time spent)
  • Performance and error data

2.3 Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to:

  • Remember your preferences
  • Analyze website traffic (via Google Analytics)
  • Improve user experience
  • Maintain security

You can control cookie preferences through our cookie banner and browser settings.

2.4 YouTube library data

If you connect a YouTube account, TidyStreams stores:

  • An encrypted OAuth refresh token (never shown in the app)
  • Your YouTube channel id and channel title
  • A cache of playlists you own, playlist memberships, and public video metadata (title, channel, duration, availability)
  • Routing rules you create, Inbox item state, operation plans, audit events, and estimated API quota usage for changes you confirm

We use this data to find duplicates and overlaps locally, to file videos from TidyStreams Inbox into playlists you choose, to generate Watchlists (daily or weekly playlists) you preview, and to apply playlist changes you preview and confirm. We do not store Watch History, and we do not use Watch Later as an inbox.

Disconnect YouTube removes the refresh token and stops sync. Delete synchronized data removes the playlist cache, routing rules, and Watchlists from TidyStreams. Neither action changes playlists on YouTube itself, including the TidyStreams Inbox playlist or Watchlists TidyStreams created (those playlists stay on your YouTube account). Deleting your TidyStreams account removes remaining YouTube data and attempts to revoke the Google grant.
